Reliable Street is a non-profit organization dedicated to arts-centered community development.
The organization is actively engaged in redeveloping an abandoned grain mill and surrounding site into a unique, inclusive center for arts and community. The project is ever-evolving but the current spaces open to the public are a gallery/music venue, Lockwood Cafe, an indoor skate park called the Geode, and Thumbprints in the Sand–the only outdoor finger-boarding park in Iowa!
We host a range of events like Super Hair Club (dance party), skate jams, Punch Up(open mic comedy), live music, art exhibitions, art markets, and other special events.
Other available services are a community garden, free thrift store, and community fridge.
